A couple of things I wanted to mention today:
" As the American Kennel Club says, children and dogs go together like peanut butter and jelly. Making sure the relationship between children and animals is a safe one is important. Beginning next week, I will be airing a television show called Safety Around Dogs, produced by the American Kennel Club (you know, the folks who do the Westminster Dog Show every year) which teaches children how to behave safely around dogs by treating them with care, consideration and respect and steering clear of potentially dangerous situations. This will be a great presentation to watch with your children.
" Just a friendly reminder about the Town Administrator's public meetings to hear from interested people about their thoughts about the FY09 budget and to accept testimony to be delivered to the Selectmen, Finance Committee and other town officials as we consider budget matters. Each presentation will begin with a simple explanation of the revenue expectations up to this point and to share preliminary budget requests. The majority of the time however will be spent receiving testimony on the budget and the taxes. The first meeting will be held TOMMORROW NIGHT, February 26, 2008 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at 127 Hartwell Street. I hope to see you there.
