Gross income means a household's total, non-excluded income, before any deductions have been made. Net income means gross income minus allowable deductions.
Documents needed to apply for SNAP:
- Identification showing your name & address
- Proof of Income: Last four pay stubs, copies of checks or official statement of the amount and frequency of payments
- Social Security Numbers for all Members Applying
- Bank Book or Current Bank Statements
- Receipts for Child Care, or the care of other dependents who cannot care for themselves
- Receipts for housing costs, heating and utilities
- If you are not a citizen, bring proof of legal non-citizen status
- Medical Bills – if you are age 60 or older or if you are disabled
