Individuals that perform gas work in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts must be licensed.
All licensed person must register with the Town’s Inspectional Services Department and provide a Certificate of Insurance prior to beginning any work. No permits will be given unless there is a currently valid license and Certificate of Insurance on file.
Gas Permits are valid for 90 days from the date of issue. The fees paid for the gas permit also includes one inspection by the Gas Inspector. If additional inspections are required, they are subject to another fee of $50.00 each.

Gas Hot Water Heaters: |
$20.00 Plus a plumbing permit is also required |
